There have been hundreds of books written on the subject of love and marriage over the years, since printing was invented. In this modern day and age with self gratification and self pleasure been made to be the all important in our lives. I feel that it is time to reexamine our basic concept of the most important of all human relationships, Marriage! We get advice from every possible place on the subject. Yet in the USA you have only 50% chance, (Statisically), of having a successfull life of marriage with the first person you choose to make your vows with. This book is written along traditional lines of thought on the subject. So if you don't want to look at it in that way this book will do you no good. It will be something you expect to hear from *DR. LAURA, with a little of the philisophy of *DR. RUTH thrown in along the way. What are my qualifications for writing this book? I never went to college. I never studied the subject formally. I am a student of human nature and just celebrated my 48 wedding anniversary, (to the same spouse). I have seen many friends and relatives fail at making a marriage work after as many as 30 years to as little as 1 year. It is amazing what you can see from the outside a relationship that can not or will not be seen from the inside. That is the reasons that counselors and therapists are are successful in so many cases. But if you are not willing to listen to them, you are wasting your time and theirs.
