Debonair Here is the story of Debonair, known as the Internet lover.Many years ago when Internet became available to South Africans, Debonair decided to see what is going on in the chat rooms. He soon found a couple of chat rooms where he felt comfortable and soon built up an enormous circle of friends.Then one day he discovered how easy it was to let woman fall in love with him on the Internet.He is always a gentleman, kind and sensitive and that made him very popular with all the ladies. He had lovers from all over the world and all stands in life. Among these lovers were wives of politicians, university professors, country singers, professional ladies and everything in between.Unfortunately, he became totally addicted to the Internet and this caused a breakdown in his marriage. He went to visit some of his lovers and this took him around the world twice.He got divorced a further two times.The poems that he wrote for various ladies have been saved and this is why he decided to put them in book form. The poems in many cases were used in his efforts to conquer the hearts of the ladies and others were written when relationships were broken and he was really sad.No details about the incident that brought him back to South Africa will be given but the poem: “My Darling”, published in his first book, Poems of Love, will explain it.Some of the poems of Debonair have been published in the UK and the USA and two have been recorded as songs, one in Canada and one in the USA.
